Currently, I am on contract at UC Davis Heath as an IT Infrastructure Project Manager. I am responsible for the planning, budgeting, execution and coordination of multiple, large scale infrastructure upgrades and new construction projects of various levels of complexity for facilities in the greater Sacramento area. While working as a technical project manager, I must adhere to current healthcare standards, navigate OSHPD regulations, ensure EMR up-time and security, and address any specific client and stakeholder needs. My role requires consistent cross-functional coordination with the construction and real estate teams, as well as network engineers, end-users and upper management stakeholders.

IBM (11/2018 – 6/2020) – Project Manager: Technology Consulting & Implementation Services

Via the Anixter account, I continued augmenting my experience as an IT Infrastructure Project Manager fulfilling various client tasks as noted below. Later, I was reassigned to the AECOM account where I was responsible for large-scale AWS Cloud migrations and hardware/software refreshes for multiple corporate sites around the globe. I worked closely with several international partners as well as IBM clients and VARs, internal and external consultants, various service delivery managers as well as SMEs to successfully deliver project milestones on time and within budget. Reporting to the AECOM Program Manager, I tracked deliverables and milestones and kept close records of engineer and architect time logs and budgets for the duration of the project until completion and close-out.

Anixter, Inc. (10/2006-10/2018) – IT Infrastructure Project Manager & Logistics Support Specialist

For twelve years, I built my career at Anixter (now WESCO) gaining significant experience in the role of IT Project Manager, with a focus on warehouse and office logistics stream-lining, IT Infrastructure design and construction, support management, and facility moves, adds and changes throughout North America. I successfully completed several large-scale, high profile facility relocations with costs of over one million dollars, meeting all deadlines on time and within budget. Typically, I managed multiple concurrent projects of various scales with tight timeframes and budgets. I was responsible for managing the entire infrastructure build process, from greenfield sites to complete re-configurations. This included the layout and design of the entire facility’s wiring and WAN/LAN infrastructure, as well as overall move planning, execution, and support. I frequently worked with external partners and contractors to evaluate bids, build scope-of-work documents, bill-of-materials spreadsheets, and created Visio and AutoCAD drawings of site plans. I worked closely with IT finance for expense approval, and tracked all costs from project initiation to project close. I managed all third party low-voltage vendors and contractors, as well as the technical teams involved in supporting the projects. I also functioned as liaison between our internal real estate and facilities teams and our networking and voice technology groups.

In addition to my primary responsibilities as IT Project Manager, I also served as Regional IT Director supporting various internal software applications and specialized hardware related to Supply Chain Management, logistics, sales, shipping and warehousing. This involved IT staff management as well as administration of all warehouse/distribution center technologies, including barcode printers, lift truck management software, hand-held barcode scanners, packing stations, and WMX/WMS warehouse management software.

Computer Sciences Corporation (1/2005-10/2006) - Senior Application Architect

For nearly two years, I worked via contract for CSC as a senior application architect tasked with developing, testing and deploying the corporate PC Windows image. This involved extensive modification of the Windows OS to fit the needs of the corporation on various IBM/Lenovo laptops, and on a variety of Dell desktops. This required an in-depth knowledge of the Windows registry and interface, as well Symantec Ghost and several other software automation applications. In addition, I was responsible for 4th level support of the desktop architecture, and I was an administrator of a Windows 2003 Active Directory solution. I was also involved with several large-scale software roll-outs, where I worked as a liaison between the Desktop Engineering team and the Desktop Support teams.
